These pieces is part of the exploration and study for my unannounced animated short film "RNGD". Study is to be continued. More pieces planned and in the works.
Observe (Barong) and The Defeat (Rangda) were first shown to public in the the Emerging Artist Show at the Montreal Art Center & Museum, April 2025.

Barong is the balance keeper god of the Balinese mythology.
He is the leader of forces of good. Protector of humans from evil spirits.
Good guy.
Barong - Batik Exploration
Size : 18 x 24 inch.
Batik piece I created in Bali, on cotton fabric. (2024)

During my visit in Bali in 2024, I learnt how to make batik. This piece actually birth the bigger painting above.
First publicly shown in Gamelan concert by Giri Kedaton Group in University de Montreal, 2026.

The Defeat (Rangda)

Rangda is the demon queen of the Balinese mythology.
She is consumed by jealousy, anger and hate of anything worth loving. She loves to destroy and kill.
Not very kind.
